Sauvignon Nepis is a white-berried variety obtained from the cross between Sauvignon Blanc and Bianca. It has excellent resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew. At Giusti Wine, we are very attentive to sustainability, and the use of these types of plants allows for cultivation that is more in harmony with nature.
Sensory profile
It boasts a straw color with broad greenish reflections; bright and shiny. On the nose, it is pleasant, complex, and of great finesse and elegance; fresh vegetal notes of elderflower, basil, and tomato leaf are immediately perceived, “mixed” with aromas of exotic fruit such as passion fruit and citrus; broad and harmonious in perfect balance.
On the palate, the entry is homogeneous and conveys freshness, sapidity, and structure; full and soft. The elegant and balanced body makes it very pleasant to drink, and the vegetal notes of tomato return on the finish.
Pairings
An excellent wine for fresh dishes with wild herbs, it pairs impeccably with lean cold cuts such as San Daniele prosciutto and bresaola. Excellent with freshwater fish such as Arctic char.
